Detokenize

PLEASE NOTE!

The PCI > Detokenize menu is solely available if PCI Compliance has been activated in your On-Premise hotel management software (protel SPE and protel MPE) and if you have the necessary rights to access the menu! Activation of PCI Compliance is not part of the standard scope of protel On-Premise and must be ordered and configured separately!

 

Should a credit card be charged (e.g., because a guest is not arriving and will be issued a No-Show invoice), there is the option for detokenizing and displaying the credit card information by means of the Detokenizer.

 

  1. Open the relevant reservation in the Navigator. Should a token have been saved to the reservation or to the guest profile, the masked credit card number will be displayed in the Navigator’s Credit cards tree view, either in the Reservation CC sub-tree or in the Guest profile CC sub-tree – see screenshot below:

  1. Left-click the masked credit card number to copy it to your clipboard.

  2. Login to protel Cloud Center.

  3. In the PCI menu, click the Detokenize menu point.

  4. Select the Token field and paste the masked credit card number by pressing CTRL + V.

  1. Click on [Detokenize] in order to display the credit card data.
