Making changes in localization
Select the module that you want to edit from the folder structure on the left. Open the Wbe folder to modify the WBE 4.0 and click WbeLocalization.

When you use localization for the first time, the Translation field will not show you any paths or labels. Open the Language selection list and click the languages that you want to edit.

Once you have made your selection, activate the include inherited translations check box. Now you will see a list of all the labels.

Inherited translations
All the texts in the English and Français columns are shown in grey because they are inherited translations. Global translations are inherited to the hotel level. This is why the localization menu only contains inherited translations until you create your own, hotel-specific ones. Translations are also inherited from a main language to a subordinate language. In other words, the localization contains not only the language German but also German (Austria) and German (Switzerland). That way, translations can be created specifically for Switzerland and Austria. Generally, however, all translations are inherited from the main language to the inherited language and can be customized in this column.
Hotel specific translations that replace label texts of the main language are displayed in green color.
Editing existing translations
To edit a translation, click the word you wish to change. The entry then turns into an input field. The system saves the new text directly as soon as you click the next word.

Once you have entered several translations, you can deactivate the include inherited translations check box. You will then see an overview of all the hotel-specific translations that you have created. Inherited translations are hidden. You can recognize your own translations by the black font.

Your hotel-specific translations are not overwritten and will not change even if the global language file is changed.
