FAQ: pWS

Status-Codes of pWS error messages

Status Code Explanation Solution
XmppAddress mismatch

The resource saved in the protel Cloud Center does not match the request sent by the hotel. This error occurs mostly after server moves.

Please contact WBE Support. They will manually execute the adjustments to the resources. The server name is always case sensitive.

MessageNotDelivered

The protel Cloud tries to connect with the pWS of the client but the pWS don't answer. Maybe the service isn't started or the pWS don't react.

Normally a restart of the service protel.WebServices via the Services list is sufficient. If this is not possible please send the log files to the protel support.

BodyEmpty

The pWS is responding, but the response is empty. The SQL server is not available.

Further error sources: SQL server is offline; SQL database is not available; SQL server has not been started; sa user login has changed.

Stop service and restart via the service list.

RequestTimedOut

Although the message has been sent to the Hotel/pWS, a response did not occur within the respectively defined time-out.

Usually, this error message is not serious, but it should not be ignored. In some cases, it is possible that the IT administrator has changed or blocked the Windows login for the pWS on the server.

XmppError

An error message occurred while sending the message to the Hotel/pWS. Protocol error.

This does not normally affect individual clients, but rather a multitude of clients / almost every client. Because the XMPP connections succumb to permanent monitoring on part of protel Dortmund, the internal IT team at protel is already working on finding a solution.

Cache not valid

The pWS has lost its connection to the Service Broker, e.g., through a server crash or the like.

Please check your Server and pWS.
