Preparing installation

  1. Please calculate 4 man-days in total for the installation per hotel: 2 days for groundwork (off-site), 2 days on-site incl. “Go Live”. The 4 days need to be added to the number of days required for a “usual” protel installation. The isolated case resulting in additional expenses will be recorded and invoiced as usual. We strongly advise you to consider this when doing your resource planning. If you have any questions, please contact our Sales Team.

  2. Before the interface will be able to be put into operation, many adjustments and preparations will have to be made in the protel system data and in Front Office. These tasks will need to have been completed one week before going live, at the latest! Some of this work will be able to be done by an employee of the hotel. Clarify this with the hotel in due time and provide them with the Pre-Implementation Checklist & Guide.

  3. You and the hotel will need to agree upon three dates when the planned installation is to be executed and forward them to protel.
protel will then coordinate the dates with BWI and will then inform you about which date BWI has chosen and confirmed for the going live procedure.

  4. Make sure that there is unlimited remote access (TeamViewer) to the client's server!

  5. Make sure that the client's system requirements have been met (go to the next section).

  6. Please inform the hotel in due time about the changes which will occur in protel after launching the BWI interface. Please provide the hotel with the BWI user guide as early as possible!
