Attention! The protel Air upgrade in Summer 2020 brought about changes to the user interface and also to many functions. You can find the updated instructions for them in the new protel Air Online Help. Please note: The migration process is still ongoing. Therefore you may still be able to use some functions as described in this Online Help. For this reason, we will not delete this Online Help yet. [Lists > Reservations]
Does your system already include reservations with assigned rate codes that have changed in the mean time? Have you increased or decreased any rates? Or does your basic rate also include breakfast now? Then the Update rates function to apply changed rate codes to already existing reservations comes in very handy.
Please note: The update rates function does not only refer to changes in the system data, but also to price changes in protel Air Daily Rates (if there are any changes to the relevant rate). If you have overwritten a price in the RBD (rate by day grid) manually, it will stay unchanged. |
First, open the reservation list ([Lists > Reservations) and set the filters according to the search criteria (such as time period, name or reservation status). The list will now display all reservations that matches the search criteria.
Select the one or more reservations, open the context menu with a right mouse click.
Click on “Update rates.”
Note: You can only update rate codes and prices of reservations before the guest is checked in!
Subsequently the price information of all selected reservations will be updated.
If there are reservations with several rooms, you will receive a message asking whether you are sure you’d like to update all rooms or just a specific one.
