• New reservation numbers: With immediate effect, reservations by means of protel WBE will receive new reservation numbers. They consist of a lengthy number and letter combination and are unique for the entire protel Cloud. Contrary to the PL numbers used in protel FO (e.g., PL3506711415P1), protel WBE assigns numbers such as this one: 69c13d7219b74d948ad7. In order to give guests who have made a booking in protel WBE without a user account the chance to cancel their bookings, unique reservation numbers will be required. For you, the hotelier, the reservation numbers will only change optically; otherwise there will be no effects.
• New replacement code for a cancellation link: A new feature makes it easy for the guest to cancel a booking via the WBE. In the reservation confirmation within Messenger, you can insert a link which directs the guest to the “My Reservations” WBE page. Guests who do not have a WBE user account can also cancel their bookings there. The cancellation via the WBE is important because it is the only way the hotel can be reimbursed for the booking charges.

• New replacement code for the guest’s age: If you want to send a birthday greeting to your guest, use a replacement code to enter the age of a guest; i.e. “Happy 40th Birthday”.
