The number of sent text messages will now also be shown in the text messages log. The number of characters per message can vary for the same transmission rule, if an instant message is entered via protel FO, or if replacement codes will be used. A guest’s name, for example, can be longer or shorter than the {{LastName}} replacement code.
When a text message exceeds a certain amount of characters, it will be split up and sent in two or more messages.
protel Cloud Center > Messenger > Log - Text messages > Count
To enable you to clearly understand which and how many text messages have been used up from your balance, it will now be displayed in the log.
In Messenger, if you insert a date such as the arrival date into the message as a replacement code, it will be formatted based on the guest’s language. Should the guest profile indicate that the guest is from Germany, the German date format will be used; if the guest is from the United Kingdom, the British date format will be used.
protel Cloud Center > Messenger > Log - E-Mail
For recurring transmission rules, the suggested sending times will now vary. You have always had the possibility of determining an individual sending time, the default value for the sending time, however, was the same everywhere. Should you not have modified the default time, guests who have fulfilled numerous filter criteria will have received the numerous messages at the same time. For this reason, protel Messenger automatically suggests various times when creating a new transmission rule. Of course, they can still be manually adjusted.
protel Cloud Center > Messenger > Log - New transmission rule
When synchronizing guest profiles from the protel database in the Cloud, the entered email addresses will be checked to see whether they contain any invalid elements such as special characters. In the Cloud, invalid email addresses will be marked as being faulty. If you send a message to a guest with an invalid email address via protel Messenger, it will appear like this in the email log:
The error message provides you with information about which guest address is invalid and the status shows that the preliminary examination for this address was unsuccessful (“PreCheckFailed”). In such cases, correct the email address in the protel guest profile and resend the message if necessary.
