[System data > Housekeeping > Attendants]
|
In the Housekeeping Attendants dialog box you manage the employees for your housekeeping team. Attendants created here are taken into account when creating the rooming list. These can be permanent staff or external employees who are not registered by name.
To be able to create new attendants, at least one section must be created in the housekeeping system data (see System Data > Housekeeping > Sections)! |
In the housekeeping attendant configuration, you can store a point or time value for each attendant. The decisive factor here is how many points or minutes can be planned for an employee per shift.
For example, if you enter the workload in minutes and an attendant is on shift for 6 hours, you can enter 360 minutes for the attendant.
If you enter the workload in points, enter the number of points that an attendant can perform per shift.
IMPORTANT: By default, the housekeeping module is set up so that the attendant sheets are created on the basis of minutes. If you prefer a points system, you can activate the use of points for the attendant sheets using the following system setting: XSetup | Create cleaning list based on points or minutes.
If you only enter points or minutes per employee, simply leave the other field blank.
Alternatively, you can fill both fields. This would be useful, for example, if you calculate internally in minutes and use an interface to another system that calculates with points. In this way, you always remain flexible.
If you enter points and minutes at the same time, it is important to always use the same conversion schema. For example, if 10 minutes correspond to a point, the values entered must always be entered in exactly this ratio so that the attendant shifts can be calculated correctly.
Example
1 point = 10 minutes
Attendant A: 48 points, 480 minutes
Attendant B: 24 points, 240 minutes
etc...
From the protel Air main menu System data select the menu Housekeeping and the sub menu Attendants.
Select the Add button to add a new attendant. To edit an existing attendant, highlight your choice and select the Edit button.
The dialog Housekeeping Attendant appears.
Enter the following information:
Field |
Explanation / Input |
Name |
Here you can enter the full name or abbreviation of an attendant or - if you work with an external service provider - a general name or number. |
Section |
Housekeeping section assigned to the attendant. Select the section in which the employee usually works. When creating the attendant list, the attendant is assigned to the selected section by default. In case of discrepancies, the attendant can also be assigned to another section in the attendant list. If the desired section cannot be selected here, check whether the section has been set to inactive in the system data. |
Points / Minutes |
If you use a time or points system, you can enter here how many points or minutes can be scheduled for the attendant. Example: For an attendant with a net working time of 6 hours, you can enter 360 minutes. If you work with a points system in which 1 point corresponds to 10 minutes, you would enter 36 points. The entered points or minutes always have to refer to a workday/shift. The value you enter here depends on which units you work with, how many units the cleaning of a room can take, and how many units an employee performs per workday or shift. The number of points or credits can vary according to working time (full-time/part-time, temporary help) and skills (level of education, experience, etc.). In general, the hotel is flexible in the design of the points system. For example, a point can be a minute, a work unit, or the amount required to clean a room, etc. For further information see above: Points or minutes? |
Checkbox Active |
If an attendant is absent or retires, remove the check mark from the check box. If the attendant is set to inactive she or he is excluded from the drop-down list within the attendant sheet dialog box. Any housekeeping attendant can be inactivated as long as they are not included in any current date attendant sheets. |
